These terms cover text messages from Montgomery Farmers Market.
Who is texting you

What we send
Messages about running the market — market days, cancellations, late starts and your tent. Vendors who separately opt in also receive market announcements. We do not send advertising on behalf of anybody else.
How often
Message frequency varies. In a normal week there are none. Most messages happen when something changes: weather, a cancellation, a late start on a market morning.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for text messages.
How you opted in
There are two places, and they are separate on purpose.
On the vendor application. Applying to sell at the market requires agreeing to operational texts, because a vendor has to be reachable on a Saturday morning. The box is not pre-ticked, and the wording is:

We never add a number to texts because somebody wrote it on a form, gave it to us in person, or appeared in an imported list. Only these two boxes create consent, and what you were shown is stored with the date you agreed.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop immediately.
Vendors can also switch them off in the vendor portal under Account Settings. Stopping texts does not affect your standing as a vendor and does not cost you any information — the same things still reach you by email and in the portal.

Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, so we never rely on a text alone for anything important — every message we send is also somewhere you can find it, in the portal or by email.
Privacy
Your number is used to text you and for nothing else. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or consent to anyone for their own marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
