We are Rachel and Patrick, the husband-and-wife team behind Twisted T Farm. Twisted T Farm began in 2013 as a way for our family to embrace homesteading and provide more of what we needed for our own table. What started as a family dream quickly grew as we found ourselves producing more vegetables, jams, jellies, and other homemade goods than our family could use. We began sharing those extras with friends and family, and before long, we realized there was an opportunity to share them with our community as well. Both of us are proud graduates of Sam Houston State University, where we earned our Bachelor of Agriculture Business degrees. While our education gave us a strong foundation in business, our real passion has always been building something meaningful together—something connected to the land, our animals, our family, and our community. In mid 2019, we were preparing to open a small farm store featuring our homemade products when COVID hit, forcing us to put those plans on hold. Rather than giving up, we took a different path and began participating in farmers markets, including the Montgomery Farmers Market. We have been proud vendors at the Montgomery Farmers Market since its beginning, and being part of that community has been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey. The market introduced us to an amazing customer base and connected us with other local farmers and homesteaders whose products and stories we loved. We are so appreciative of our market family and can't wait to see what the future holds for the market. As the farm continued to grow, so did our vision. We wanted to create a place where people could find fresh, locally produced goods throughout the week—not just on market days. In 2022, we finally opened the doors to the Twisted T Farm Store right here on our farm. Today, we are proud to work alongside approximately 25 local farm and homestead businesses, filling our store with products made and grown by people in our community. Alongside these local partnerships, we continue to expand what we produce here at Twisted T Farm. Patrick became organically certified in 2020, and we have continued building our farm around the belief that good food starts with good farming practices. We are proud to practice organic and regenerative agriculture, with a focus on building healthy soil, caring for our animals, and producing food we are proud to put on our own table. Our farm has grown to include dairy goats and our own goat dairy, where we produce fresh goat milk through our herd-share program, along with a growing selection of handcrafted dairy products. We also offer farm- and pasture-raised meats, seasonal vegetables, and more than 30 varieties of organically certified jams and jellies, along with salsas, seasonings, and other homemade goods. For us, Twisted T Farm is about much more than simply selling food. It is about knowing where your food comes from, taking care of the land that provides it, raising animals responsibly, supporting other local producers, and creating products our customers can feel good about feeding their families. What started as a way to homestead for our family has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined. We are incredibly grateful for every customer who has supported us, every family who has stopped by our booth or farm store, and every farmer, homesteader, and small business that has become part of our story. Our vision for the future is simple: to keep growing, keep supporting local producers, and keep putting fresh-from-the-farm goods into the hands of families who value knowing where their food comes from. From our farm to your family—thank you for being part of the Twisted T Farm family.
Meets Our Standards
This vendor meets Montgomery Farmers Market standards for growing practices, ingredients and sourcing — the same ones we hold every vendor to. It is our own standard, not an organic certification.
